Rain has been a wonderful show dog. But it was not been without it's problems at the start. As at 7 1/2 months of age he somehow fractured the femoral neck of his left hind leg. This meant total rest till almost 14 months when I managed to get him back in the Show Ring, but he was a total nut case ! He did his best to either trip me up or drag me out of the ring, but thankfully some judges saw through his antics and he gained his JW in the space of 9 weeks. He also went onto gain his Sh CM winning many Best in Show awards along the way before I retired him from the Open Shows.
This was just after Rain gained his final point for his JW
Rain took his first CC in 2004 + BOB after which it seemed he was always out of coat when the judges we though might like him were judging. So it was not till 2008 that he gained his 2nd. In fact that day we did the Double with Rain taking the Dog CC & BIS and Willow (his daughter) taking the Bitch CC & RBIS + BOS. He has however gained 2 RCC's along the way.
Rain has produced some lovely offspring before we started to restrict his stud work. 2 of these offspring have managed to gain their titles before him, Namely our own Willow

Rain is a great Game finder with a fantastic nose for finding runners and wounded game and never seems to want to give up on his quest !
He seems to have passed on his game finding ability to many of his offspring.
