Ether is Gaina's litter sister and the one I chose as pick of the litter. She certainly has done the Purbarn Kennel proud !
She did extremely well during her Puppy and Junior classes and took 1st and Best Puppy in Breed at Crufts 2000, unfortunately she just missed her Junior Warrant by just one point. [what Rich calls and AJW(Almost JW)].
We disided to mate her in 2001 to Storm [our Champion] this produced a lovely litter and we kept Rain, who has done extremely well in the show ring and also as a Stud Dog.
The next time we showed Ether we put her in Limit and she gained her Stud Book Number taking 1st in Limit at Southern GRA.
Ether is a very good picking up dog and has been an asset to my picking up team, although she was keen enough to go out picking up during the 2009/2010 Shooting Season I did not take her out as much as I used to but she would do about one day a week and will still go out in 2010/2011 for the odd half day if she still wants to.
We may also enter her for some Veteran classes during the summer of 2010.
