Kittens

Sky was our first Ragdoll and how we first fell in love with this wonderful breed. He was a gift from an ex boss of mine and was given to my daughter Sally. He taught us a lot about the breed and one thing above all was that these are not Street Wise Cats and we now stipulate that Trevacat Ragdolls are sold on the strict understanding that they are kept safe inside or have secure runs in which to play and get fresh air.

Kittens bred here start life in the house and stay indoors till they are about 6 to 8 weeks of age. During this time they get used to all sorts of house-hold sights and sounds + dogs and spend most of their time either getting under our or the dogs feet or lying on our laps or curled up with one of the dogs. They then go out into our purpose built Cattery where they can survey to outside world from safety. When we are about they are allowed to play out in the secure outside play airier.

We encourage all family members who wish to have one of our little treasures, to come to see litters as often as possible, so as to see them growing up and to learn as much as possible about the commitment that they will be taking on.

All kittens leave us at about 13 weeks old, having been wormed, had their first two vaccinations and a full health check. They also leave us insured for the first 6 weeks and we strongly recommend you continue to keep your cat insured. They also leave here with a bag, of the type of food onto which they have been weaned + a file of useful information.

If the kitten is going as a pet (which most of ours do) we will not give you the GCCF Registration Document till we have written proof from the Vet that the Tom has been Neutered and/or the Queen Spayed.

We are always available to give advice and hope that anyone having a Trevacat Ragdoll will have a long and happy life together.
